Gierlich-Mitchell,
Inc. was incorporated in 1964 in the State of
California by James O.Gierlich. In 1978 Mr. Jim
Mitchell joined with Mr. Gierlich to expand
Gierlich Mitchell, Inc.
In
1984 Mr. Mitchell became president of G.M.I..
with Mr. Gierlich serving as C.E.O until his
retirement in 1990 with Mr. Gierlich continuing
to serve G.M.I. on a consulting basis. Mr.
Mitchell now serves as both President and CEO of
Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc.
Over
the last 33 years, G.M.I. has continually
expanded its staff and capabilities dramatically
to include Professional Engineers for Mechanical
and Electrical Design applications. G.M.I.
provides complete field service for all products
sold by our company.
Gierlich-Mitchell,
Inc. currently represents 40 companies. Nearly
every item of process equipment used in the
treatment of water or waste water is available
from these manufacturers.

provides professional engineering assistance to
the consulting engineering firms and
municipalities in California, Arizona, and
Nevada.
G.M.I.
Sales Engineers are factory trained to be
familiar with all the details and economics of
the application of this equipment to specific
projects. We often prepare economic evaluations
of different equipment alternatives and their
long term operating costs.
Gierlich-Mitchell,
Inc. provides assistance in the sizing of the
equipment and writing specifications for bidding
the equipment. This requires us to be familiar
with all competing equipment and the advantages
and disadvantages of the features of the
equipment.

also bids this equipment to contractors and
provides assistance to them in installing and
starting up the equipment. Operator training is
a service we also provide.
Gierlich-Mitchell's
Service Staff have been factory certified to
provide field service and training for the
equipment we represent. Our staff also overhauls
and repairs equipment. Our Service Department
has mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
repair and service qualifications.
