For 37 years we have been in the process equipment manufacturers representation business.

Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. currently represents 40 companies. Nearly every item of process equipment used in the treatment of water or waste water is available from these manufacturers.

GMI provides professional engineering assistance to the consulting engineering firms and municipalities in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

GMI Sales Engineers are factory trained to be familiar with all the details and economics of the application of this equipment to specific projects. We often prepare economic evaluations of different equipment alternatives and their long term operating costs.

Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. provides assistance in the sizing of the equipment and writing specifications for bidding the equipment. This requires us to be familiar with all competing equipment and the advantages and disadvantages of the features of the equipment.

GMI also bids this equipment to contractors and provides assistance to them in installing and starting up the equipment. Operator training is a service we also provide. Gierlich-Mitchell's Service Staff have been factory certified to provide field service and training for the equipment we represent. Our staff also overhauls and repairs equipment. Our Service Department has mechanical, electrical and instrumentation repair and service qualifications.

For over 33 years we have designed, furnished and installed Instrumentation and Control Systems for the water and wastewater industry. In this business segment we act as subcontractors to the general contractor for projects with complete responsibility for this portion of the work, including system design, manufacture of the control panels, installation of panels and instruments and commissioning of the system and training of the operational staT Systems include hardwired control systems, telemetry systems and programmable logic systems.

This is an approach that is relatively new to the American Wastewater market, but is growing because it offers a number of advantages to the owner. Owners have asked us to build turnkey facilities as we can supply the level of engineering needed compared to that required for preparation of bid documents. Our price also offers the owner a guaranteed total price for the project and it can be built in minimal time. Basically, Turnkey construction offers the owner reduced costs, fixed pricing and minimal construction time.

Competitive turnkey construction by its nature is based on the offering of cost effective solutions for the problem. Because of this very basic strength in this type of procurement, it is becoming an approach that is being used by more and more public agencies. While this is still only a small portion of the American wastewater market, satisfactory results are causing the growth of this approach.

Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. entered this market because we, as manufacturer's representatives, have unique capabilities not found in similar companies. GMI has a Ions history of subcontracting instrumentation and control systems and we have held a Class "A" General Contractors license since 1979.

Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. has established Turnkey Projects as a very valuable part of our business with over 50 successful projects completed over the last 25 years. Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. has capabilities and bonding to provide Turnkey projects ranging in sales from $10,000 to 55,000,000. A reference fist of Turnkey projects we have performed over the past 25 years can be provided upon request.

Our staff includes registered professional engineers with extensive design and construction experience. We have detailed and thorough knowledge of the process and equipment that is used in wastewater treatment plants.

Philosophically, we invest the owner's money in the project as if it were our own. This is the approach that is favourable to most owners.

"Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. has a history of bringing projects in on time and within budget."

The Gierlich-Mitchell, Inc. professional staff has a combined experience of over 350 years in the Water and Wastewater Industry.
